Lab 8 Reflection

What I did in this lab is we made a favicon we did this by going to code.org and in unit two you can make your own and I made it by 12 by by 9 pixies which  only gave me the two colors that I need. I we used the New York Knicks  colors which  is blue and orange, and then i made -_- face because i love to use that when I'm texting. The hardest part of the project was finding the color that i wanted to use and figure out the code for the color. I see myself using this in the future  when I need a logo for my website or helping out someone who need one. 

pep rally

On Tuesday, we were at at pep rally at our school. CCEC and there were many representatives there that talked about the importance of code, queens borough president was there, the founder of code.org, coding is a real privilege that not that many people know how to do it around the world. Spreading the importance of coding and how it can help our growing technology is important and our school was the only school in Queens to get to hear the speakers and professionals. There are so many open spaces for computer science jobs because any one can make it and do it. But i wanna be a computer engineering so I din't know if it will help me or not. I learned a lot in the pep rally and  about important coding is in the real world. Being able to understand code and write it is going to help me in the future. 

Hackathon reflection

We went to a hackathon and we all wanted to win, we also had food, since we were going to be there for 11 hours. I was happy that they kept us alive because I didn't want to spend any money on food. Me and my team make a website based on bias statements. When it was time to handed in our project we had a lot of errors. But we fix just before we present it. It was so much fun even tho my group didn win, but next time I have a feelingthat I can win, all need is more skills.

Google trip

Today we're invited to go to a google trip. This trip was really fun and I learned so many new things with the people that worked their. We left after school to take the train to google offices. When we got they gave us guess tags. After this we were separated into and was escorted by people that worked their. They showed us the place and and alot of cool things. What I found cool was when I saw that they had a game room had great food ,their was creativity art, and some funny things as well. After that they sent us to an conference room. In this conference room they talked about what they do, how they do it, and the hard thing they faced. We got to ask them a few questions. After that it was time to leave which made me sad because google is one of favorite company and I kinda wanna like there.

WBL Workshop Reflection

In this workshop we discovered our career DNA we first tried to find out our personality like what we and act. Then we looked at what games do i play and made a check list, i found out that i am a social person. The various methods used during the workshop were questions that determined which category is best fit for us as the one with the most check marks meant that we liked that specific area of work more than others and are most likely more fit to pursue it than others. The top three groups that I feel are best fit for me in order from 1st to 3rd were Conventional, Realistic, and finally Enterprising. Also, the Holland Code helped solidify the fact that the group like Conventional was best fit for me as I had the most check marks in that area.

     I really learned a lot of useful information in this workshop and this is another step towards finding which college will be of my best interest to pursue and major in as I need to find a passion for my job and love it. Figuring it out early is better than doing it at the last minute and I am happy that such opportunities were available to learn more and be more productive to work towards it. I hope for more workshops to come and help me towards college.

Shakespeare’s Question

Question: Shakespeare’s complete works have approximately 3.5 million characters. Which is bigger in file size: Shakespeare’s complete works stored in plain ASCII text or a 4 minute song on mp3? How much bigger?

Answer: Depends on the mp3 quality and high quality is like 256Kbps 4 minute mp3 will have about 7.68 MB, the other 3.5 MB for Shakespeare's text. At music quality 128Kbps, the mp3 is only slightly larger than Shakespeare, at 3.84 MB.

Project 1 Reflection

What we did in this project is we made a website that has links to 3 of our favorite movies and have a copyright link. We did this by making a home page  first add picture of the movie then, i made html files for all 3 movies, and explaining who made it when was it releace  and who started the movies. This was the hardest part because i had to do a lot of research and it took me a lot of time and effort to do. After that I had to link everything up which wasn’t that hard to do, I also made a banner for my project, the banner show what is the project about. I made a copyright page to to give creidt to the source that I got. The hardest part was making the movie page because it took me at least 8 hours to do all 3 of them. I see my self using this in the future when makaing an explanation why I like something.

Lab 7 Relection

What I did in this lab is make a website that has links to our other labs and made it our index too so finding ours is way easier, and change the other lab to have a link that goes back to the index so anybody can see my labs easily. I did this this by making a table with tow rows going down one is lab number and the other is a picture of the website or from the website, then I add a link for the picture and the lab name, after that i sent to all of my other labs and put the link to my index. Then i move everything in lab 7 to the root of my folder. The hardest part of the project is making the table and adding in the link to the project. I see my self using this in the future when i'm making my own website.

Lab 6 Reflection

This lab we had to create a banner and a name plate. I used Photoshop to make it, make this by using a free background  from Google . I then I added my name and class to the picturet to make my banner. Then with the same image I used part of the background and add my name to it to create my name plate. The hardest part was making a background because it took me time to pick a background. I see myself using this in the future when I'm making my own website.

Lab 5 reflection

In his lab we made unordered list and ordered list of things we like, these are movies, song, favorite subject, least favorite subject, and grocery list. We did this by making a table then I added my favorite movies in order, my favorite subject unordered, least favorite subject in ordered, music unordered, and grocery unordered. I make each section the same color. The hardest part was making the table the organized. I see myself not using is in the future because it took me a long time to do

Lab 4 Reflection

In this lab we made a table that has hex color that we were assigned to do. We go 8 color from our teacher and we had to go to w3school.com to find the hex code of the color and then put in our table. we also pick 7 other colors  too. What i first did is make a Title, then add it in the table but it was hard because making the columns and the rows because they have different code, then i add the name of the color then the name of the code and then put in the colors and redo the these steps for every color. the hardest part was making the table because you beed two deferent codes to make the table not only that putting in the color to because if you didn't copy the right code the  the color won't come out. I can not see myself using this in the future because making a color table isn't something i'm going to need.

What do FileZilla, CoreFTP and CyberDuck have in common?

What all of filezilla, coreftp and cyberduck have in common is that they are FTP part that let you to transmit files or data to a server or domain and then everyone who knows the url can see what you made in your website.

Lab 3 reflection

In this lab we made a website that had links to our blog, our teacher website,  and w3school. We also add color to our website for the color the text and background. What first did was i added my title and change the color to red then i wrote the lab name and then add it the color blue. then i explain how i change the color of the text and the background. then i add a picture of my blog and add a link, then add a picture of w3school and the link to the website. then i add it my teacher website and a picture too. The hardest part of the project was adding the links. i can see myself using this in the future when i'm a website for myself. 

Lab 2 Reflection

What we did is that we made a website that has our smart goals. I used textedit to start and then I added a title then i put a picture of my self but it was hard to do that because we have to resize the picture which took me at lest 6 mintes after that i have to write 3 smart goal i did this by using <p> because it  let me write a paragraph. The most hardest part was adding the picture because and again resizing it. I see myself using this in the future because making my own website is fun.

Lab 1 reflection

What I did in this lab is we made a incomplete website with a text explaining what we know about html. I did this by using textedit and adding commands like the head and text also the title too. The hardest part of his lab was that my title didn't come out I'm guessing I did something wrong I'm going to go ask for help so I can do a better. I see myself using these skills in the future when I'm helping someone make a website.

What is HTML

Html is a code that is used in coding and it can do many things. It's also a command which help a lot.
You can make make like the color change in website or change the front and make titles. One of the main things about HTML is that it can do mostly do anything you want and make the way we like it. I would write by <color>2 and it will change the color i can used this <h1>hello to make a headline
